Today, the Spring Hill Raiders pee-wee team lost in the District Championship game 18-6. Many of the kids were heartbroken after the game was over. Cody was no exception.
Being that this is only the second year that Spring Hill had a team in TYFA, this is a huge accomplishment. I helped coach Cody’s team this year and it was a blast. I am so proud of the kids for giving their all and playing lights out all season long. We fell one game shy of the championship, but that doesn’t define our season.
Our team finished 8-2 which is the best finish for any Raiders team this season. Most of the kids started the year not knowing much about the game. At the end, we as coaches, can say that they’re ready for the next level. They quickly picked up on plays, schemes, blitzes, & assignments.
To the parents, I say thank you. Thanks for coming out each week for 2-3 practices and driving the kids all around the Metro area. Thanks for teaching your child the value of school, football, & having fun. You guys are troopers and I commend you for your hard work and dedication.
This year’s football season has closed for us, but improvements for the Spring Hill Raiders are already on the way. It’s very likely that we will have our own fields to play on. More community involvement will follow and hopefully we’ll have a huge turnout next year. Also, each player will take with him the knowlege from this year and will be ready to dominate next year.
Shine in ‘09 Raiders!

Hey Coach:
Thanks to you and all the coaches and our fabulous team moms for all of your personal time that you invested in the kids. I know it takes a lot of time and sacrifice and Kim and I were very happy to have all of you involved with Ben. He has already lamented the fact that he is going to miss his team and coaches and seeing you all at practice. See you soon.
Best regards,
Shannon & Kim
