A short time ago, a buddy of mine asked me how many churches there are in Spring Hill. If you’ve live here more than 6 months, you’ve seen quite a few start up. So I mapped most of them out and here’s a snapshot of the 40+ that I could find & where they meet. From what I could determine, over 50% of these are less than 5 years old (the % is probably higher).

Here’s how the map looks today:

Zooming into where Elevation Church meets, the picture looks like this.

One year ago, Elevation & 1 other church met in this location (signified by the red dots).

What does this all mean? Simply this. When the city of Spring Hill tagged itself with the line “one of the fastest growing cities in the country”, they opened the door to having tons of churches start up. Just a fact of church planting. Go where the people are. When we moved here, there were 13,000+ people living here and it was growing. Now that number is around 30,000.

This was a great study for me to see what’s happening in our community. I love this place and all the people who live here. I also like the fact that various church organizations are recognizing the spiritual need here. My prayers go out to each one of the churches represented on the map. May God bless them all as they lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
