Yesterday, an EMT that is stationed at the firehouse next door to our home came over and chatted with me as the kids slid down the slip & slide. As we talked, he asked if I had heard about Steven Curtis Chapman’s daughter Maria passing away this past Wednesday evening. I told him yes and that I heard about it through Carlos’ blog and Pete’s. What he said next, I really wasn’t prepared to hear.
He told me that in the past few days, there had been 3 other kids that had been hit by cars. In less than a week, four families lost their child in Williamson county due to an automobile accident.
Seriously, pray for these families.
FYI: The first Christian concert ticket and CD was for SCC. I met his parents at the Final Four in Indy back in 2000. My heart goes out to them. The visitation for Maria will be today and the memorial service will be on Saturday. – Link
