“In the woods, we return to reason and faith.” -Emerson
The Hopson clan left after church this past Sunday for an overnight camping trip to Fall Creek Falls State Park. As soon as we arrived, we put up the tent and started making dinner. I cooked bbq chicken, green beans, & corn while Alicia and the kids unpacked. After dinner, we cleaned up and sat by the fire making smores. As we crawled into our sleeping bags, it started to rain. Forty seven degrees and rain really stinks, but our tent held up as it rained all night.
On Monday, we woke up to more rain. I fixed pancakes and eggs in our tent as it poured outside. Just as we finished breakfast, the rain stopped. We packed up our gear and headed to the waterfalls to take some pics and do a little hiking. To see some pictures from our trip, click here.
If you’re looking for a place for some R&R, you gotta check out this place. There’s lots to do and you’ll have a blast enjoying God’s creation.
