Continuing from yesterday’s post, our church meets in a preschool. Each Saturday, we go in and transform the preschool into a meeting place for our church. Since we believe the church is way much more than a building, we use the building once a week and pay rent on that. It’s a great deal for our church and it also provides income for the school. We also pay for things to help the school stretch their budget too. A few months back, we started paying for the carpet cleaning and also some mini-blinds to help as the kids nap.
The one problem we have is that it is a preschool. As you saw from yesterday, there are things hanging on the ceiling, art pictures on the wall, chalkboards, desks, chairs, and anything else you can imagine. We don’t take those things down. We just move them and try to cover up as much as we can. To maximize our budget, we didn’t buy pipes and drape to cover everything up. We use the preschool’s dividers to do what we can.
So facility wise, here’s some before and after pictures for you to see. What would you do different?
