Just finished watching Tennessee get beat by Vandy. After the amazingly physical game at Memphis, I though the officials tonight were a little whistle happy. For instance, the Memphis game had a combined 36 fouls. Tonight, there were 51. JuJuan Smith was called at least twice for grabbing the jersey early in the game. But with 20+ seconds left, he pulled and pulled and no foul called. Interesting.
Anyways, this was a good game for Vandy. They needed a good quality win and they got one. I hope they get a good seed out of this because they’re that good. For the Vols, this was not a bad thing. A number 1 team always has a bullseye on them. My guess is that Tennessee will come out & play well against Kentucky (at home). The final 5 game stretch for the Vols is brutal & nearly over(Memphis-W, Vandy-L, KY, FL, SC) , but I think they’ll regroup and win the next 3.
