For a while now, I have been working out. I hit the gym in the morning for about an hour. I’ll go 30 minutes on the weights and then 30 on cardio. It’s helped me to lose around 40 pounds and get the energy that I haven’t had in a while.

Why do I do it? Well, I have a number of reasons.

  1. I want to see my kids grow up and get married. I’ve personally seen people die at my age. I don’t want to go out that way.
  2. My family has a history of heart disease. I found out that Tennessee is one of the worst 5 states to deal with this epidemic.
  3. I want to look and feel good.

I could go on with my list, but you get the point. For a while now, I have been hovering around the 205 mark. I’m at my college weight now (after the freshmen 15). My goal is to be at 195 by June 1. With God’s help, I’ll make it.
