Today’s practice went well. We practiced at the Saturn fields. The field was a little out of shape with grass growing in it, but was very usable for us.

Before practice began, I recruited 3 adults to help coach a station. We went through warm-ups and then split the kids into 3 groups. Group 1 hit off the T into the backstop. Group 2 worked on alligator catching and then be a goalie. Group 3 worked on catching the ball and throwing to 1st base. Each group would be at a station for around 10 minutes.

I ended practice by having the kids gather in a circle and put their hands in. We yelled “Go Rockies!” The kids ate it up. I think it made them feel like official ball players.

I found out that Opening Day is April 14th. Hopefully, we’ll be more than ready by then.
