Today we hiked 1.5 miles to this beautiful waterfall. It took about 45 minutes to hike it and was beside a stream the whole time. Once there, we took our shoes off and stepped in the freezing water. Dalten collected rocks, Cody threw them, and Brianne splashed us all.
Tomorrow, we leave for Cherokee, Newfound Gap, and finally home. Maybe we can get one more hike in before the vacation’s done. Who knows?
So our church meets about 100′ from a pub. I’ve been in Gary’s Place a few times to hang out with Gary and meet people. Gary is the person that recommended our guitarist to come and play for us. He’s just a great all around guy that I like to chat with. In July, Gary’s Place and Elevation Church is partnering together for an event that we hope will be awesome. I’ll share more about that when I return from our family’s camping trip.
There’s been lots of discussion in the blogosphere lately about christians drinking beer, churches meeting in bars, does Jesus belong in a pub, would jesus have a beer with me, and many many others. The list of sites discussing this issue is huge. I have huge respect for each person I linked to because they’re bringing this subject out in the open.
What’s your thoughts on the subject? I’d love to hear them.
We’re sitting in the McDonald’s across from Biltmore. It’s the prettiest one I’ve ever seen.

We’re heading out to beautiful North Carolina to camp at Catawba Falls Campground. We picked this spot because it has waterfalls, it’s near Biltmore, and we can hike a number of trails in the area. On our return trip, we’re going to hike a spot on the AT near Newfound Gap. Hopefully, we’ll have good cell coverage so I can provide some posts and some pics of our journey.
A buddy of mine heard we were going camping next week and sent me this. It’s kind of like Sim City only you’re running a campground. I played it for about an hour and had really messed up a campground.

Our a/c unit went kaput today and it’s a sauna inside. The temp inside is 82 and climbing. There’s times I like having an office in the garage and today’s definitely one of them. Last summer, we knocked a hole in the garage and put a window unit in and it works quite well.

I shot that pic at the golf course about ΒΌ mile from my house. Some of the best amateur golfers are playing and it looks to be a great turnout. Even as amateurs, they can still whip my tail all over the course.
